VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Volunteers have been an important part of Roosevelt’s program for the past several years. Volunteers strengthen our program by:
• providing individual student help
• giving classroom assistance
• providing clerical help at school
• working on special projects at home
• enriching the curriculum through use of community resources
• providing a communication link between the school and the community
If you are interested in becoming a Roosevelt volunteer or would like more information about the volunteer program, please contact the Roosevelt volunteer office at 354-4021.
PARENT TEACHER GROUP
The mission of the Roosevelt Parent Teacher Group is to share information and ideas, raise funds, and provide opportunities which enhance the academic, physical, and social learning of students through the cooperative efforts of students, parents, staff, and the community. All Roosevelt parents, guardians, and staff are members. Please check this calendar for the dates of our board meetings, general meetings, programs, and special events. All meetings are open to anyone. Come and share your ideas or just observe. The PTG sponsors the Roots and Shoots Garden Club, Family Fun Night, and the Annual Community Dinner. The PTG also helps purchase items that enhance school and classroom activities and provides opportunities for parents and staff to discuss school issues together. Feel free to call any of the board members or officers with questions or concerns.
