Media Checkout
- Materials are checked out electronically
- Students are encouraged to return books when they have read them so they can checkout a new book.
- Overdue notices are sent out each week.
- Reference items available for overnight checkout.
Student Weekly Checkout Limits
Kindergarten (beginning in November) 1 Item
1st-2nd Grades 2 Items
3rd-4th Grades 3 Items
5th-6th Grades 4 Items
Student Access
- Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Students may have to use our written self-check if I am unavailable before or after school)
- At their scheduled class times.
- Throughout the school day, with teacher's permission.
Library Media Center Student Expectations
- To follow school rules.
- Follow the Pillars of Character
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of how to use the library by checking out books
- Return their books in a timely manner
- Come to library prepared to learn
- To behave in a way that will ensure a good learning atmosphere for all.
- To participate in the library curriculum.
Parent Support
- Read to your child.
- Have you child read to you.
- Volunteer in the library media center.
- Visit the library media center.
- Get your own parent library card
- Help your child develop responsible behavior by returning books on time.
Volunteers
- Parent volunteers help with checkout, shelving, and clerical tasks. Over 40,000 items are checked out each year. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mrs. Stern.
- Parents are needed as Library Parents to accompany their child's class to the library. Parents are also needed to help with long-range projects. Click here to see how you can make a difference in our library.
