Learning through Junior Achievement!   (back to home)

Last spring Junior Achievement brought a great program to our room.  It was led by an energetic volunteer who did his best to bring the lessons alive.  The second grade curriculum focuseson the community,  and how that community selects and pays for services.  The biggest highlight was making paper donuts.  The children divided into teams and they compared donuts made by unit production vs. donuts made by assembly line. (Of course, it helped that Mark brought us all a donut to eat when we finished.)

I am looking forward to having Mark return again this spring.  Junior Achievement is a great program and a wonderful learning opportunity for Logan students.

A huge THANKS to Junior Achievement
and our special volunteer!
