A Note from the Principal

Lincoln Heights Elementary is a learning community that offers a strong academic program which is balanced with learning opportunities in Music, Drama, Art, as well as Health and Fitness. Our experienced teaching staff provides a solid foundation of effective instructional strategies that supports student learning. The success of each student is important to us and we want to make every child academically successful and reaching their full potential.

The Lincoln Heights facility is new to our neighborhood and opened in September of 2006.  The original school was established in 1953 and rebuilt in 2005. Our enrollment increased in 2007 with the integration of students from the Pratt Elementary neighborhood.  Our modern facility has many features that includes an energy efficient heating and cooling system, south facing classrooms with an abundance of natural light and an infrastructure that includes digital projectors in each room and wireless internet access through out the facility. Our modern gymnasium and multipurpose room allow for community use during non-school hours.

Our school meets many diverse needs in the community with special programs that include Pre-school, Integrated Kindergarten, and Multiple Handicap classrooms. Our more than 500 students are at the core of our mission and we look forward to forging a successful partnership between the school and home in order to make every child’s experience at Lincoln Heights a positive one. On behalf of the Lincoln Heights staff, I want to welcome you to our school and community for another exciting year. By working together we can make Lincoln Heights a great place to learn and grow.

Sincerely,

Mike McGinnis
Principal
