Indian Trail's Express Program continues to offer quality before and after school care for our students.  Operating hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. before school and again from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for after school care.  The Express Program is located in Room A101.  The phone number is:  354-3118.  Please call Allison Hargraves for further information.

Indian Trail Elementary School offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities.  Most are coordinated by   Kristi Flannery, PTA Volunteer Coordinator; however, we also offer a program called the Literacy Volunteer Program.  This program is facilitated by Mrs. Jill Ferguson.  She teams volunteers with students needing extra help with their reading skills.  This program has been very successful and Mrs. Ferguson uses community members as well as parents to meet students' needs.  If you are interested, please call the school office at 354-3100.

The Indian Trail Elementary Site Council started in 1996.  The Site Council is made up of parents, teachers, and school staff who meet regularly to discuss matters affecting the quality of education at our school.

The specific purposes of the Site Council include:

  • Promoting the highest possible student performance
  • Serving as a forum for input from parents, students, teachers, support staff, and administrators
  • Focusing on issues related to the entire educational process at Indian Trail
  • Providing an organizational framework so productive and meaningful change can occur
  • Communicating discussions and decisions to all our stakeholders

The Site Council meets the third Thursday of each month.  Site Council minutes are posted in a public area outside of the office for community perusal.
