SCHOOL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: We have a school volunteer program. If you have some time that you would be willing to donate to the school as a volunteer, please contact the school office for more information. You also could sign up at Open House.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Depending on the availability of coaches, numerous extracurricular activities are available to primarily upper-grade students. For a child to participate in any of these programs, he or she must have two items:

  1. A permission form signed by a parent.
School insurance coverage or a signed insurance waiver
stating the student has coverage.

Also, the student’s daily school work must be completed satisfactorily and good school citizenship exhibited and attendance maintained.

Extracurricular activities may take place before or after school. Morning activities usually begin at 7:45 a.m., while those after school begin at 3:10 p.m. Dismissal time should be no later than 5:00 p.m.

Depending on the activity, practices and games are usually held on the playground or in the gym. Transportation to activities off school grounds is provided by buses or private vehicles.

Spokane School District provides an intramural/interschool sports program for fifth and sixth grade students for the following sports: Volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. The cross-country program is provided for students in grades 1-6. Intramural (within our own school) activities are available to fifth and sixth graders in flag football and soccer.

Intramural activities are also offered to students on other grade levels each year, depending on such factors as student interest and space availability.
