Students are encouraged to do a minimum of 80 minutes of home reading each week. We ask for a parent signature before the reading log is turned in by students every Wednesday.
In addition, we ask that two "just right" books be read each month. These should be book selections that are not too easy, and not too hard, but just right. The children will be expected to fill out a "Reading at Home" half sheet, rating each book. If more than two books are read, no problem! Students just write the additional titles on the back of the half sheet and pat themselves on the back for such a fine record or reading.
March Reading at home half sheet is due March 28th or before, if the books have been completed.
