T.E.A.M. Grant - "Together Everyone Achieves More!"
The Grant Elementary Parent and Teacher Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, from 6:30 to *8:00 PM in the school library. There is FREE childcare available.
TEAM Grant has conducted numerous fundraisers over the years, and donated funds for several important contributions to our curriculum. Some of these have been books for the library, books for classroom collections, and a digital camera to be used by staff and students.
"No dues, no fees. Only the sincere care for the welfare of our children."
Student Council
Student Council provides an opportunity for students to learn about school government, organization of meetings and teamwork within committees. Student Council members often find themselves involved in public service. Whether they are presenting information at a class meeting, greeting guests at a school function, or emceeing at an assembly, students learn how to conduct themselves in public and gain confidence in doing so.
Student Council is open to all third through sixth grade students. A representative and alternate for each classroom are chosen at the beginning of the school year. There are five officers including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Reporter/Historian. Officers are elected in the spring with their term of office beginning at the start of the following school year.
Officers for the 2007-2008 school year are: Samantha Welch - President; Peighton Devon-Raiford - Vice President; Sharlyn Campbell - Secretary; David Cope - Treasurer; and Kayla Baker - Historian. Student Council meetings are held once a month. For further information, you may contact the Student Council Advisor at 354-2800.
