Snack
Little ones have a difficult time getting through a preschool session without eating; therefore, a snack is a very important part of our program. Because of various health needs, our district provides snack for all of the children. If you would like to send a special snack, please let us know ahead of time and we can let you know what is safe and approriate for all of our kids.
Severe Allergy Alert!!!!!
We have a staff memeber with a severe life-threatening allergy to coconut. Should she come into contact with anything containing coconut, she could have a reaction requiring immediate emergency treatment. In addition to foods, coconut is often found in hair products and lotions. We hope you will support us in keeping our classroom safe for everyone in the preschool by not using these products on your children the days they attend school.
Also, because of the severity of many people's reactions to peanuts, we are keeping our classroom a peanutbutter free environment. So, if you do send a snack (such as for a birthday or holiday celebration), please check the label--no coconut or peanutbutter. If in doubt, please call or be sure the ingredient label is on the items when you send them.
