School Lunch Program

Hot lunches, transported to Franklin, are served daily.  A complete menu appears in the newspaper weekly.  The school will also publish a monthly calendar that will contain a shortened version of the menu.  Milk is included in the price of the meal, but may be purchased separately.

The lunchroom is always carefully supervised.  The atmosphere in the lunchroom is intended to be pleasant, relaxed, and orderly.  Pupils are expected to follow the established lunchroom rules.

Students use a computer system just like a checking account at a bank.  They deposit money into their account.  Each time they eat a meal, SNAP deducts the price of that meal by reading their ID number.  Their ID number is read from a bar code. The balance remaining in the meal account is displayed on the computer screen for the student to see.

Student lunches are $1.85, including milk.  Milk may be purchased for 50 cents per half pint.

Applications for free and reduced price lunches are available in the office.  Reduced price lunches are 40 cents.

Parents are invited to join their child for lunch by notifying the office by 9:15 a.m. on the day you plan to visit.  Adult lunches without milk $2.50.

Breakfast Program

Breakfast is served daily, Monday through Friday. Breakfast is offered to everyone. Breakfast will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. and end at 8:50 a.m.

After breakfast, students will exit the building by the same door they entered and return to their assigned class line (located at stations outside the building). When the bell rings at 8:55 a.m., teachers will escort all students to class.

Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch will also qualify for free and reduced breakfast.
Student breakfasts are $1.10 including milk. Reduced price breakfasts cost 30 cents. Adult breakfasts are $1.75.
