What is Collaboration Time?
The purpose of collaborative time is to provide a common time for all staff to focus on teaching and learning. For all students to reach high academic standards, it is important that teachers have regularly scheduled times during the work day to focus on issues associated with teaching and student learning. Following are examples of uses of collaborative time.
-Sharing best practices
-Discussing student work
-Learning new skills
-Analyzing assessment data
-Planning for action research
-Reviewing the research and applying to practice
-Developing standards-based lessons
Every Thursday morning the staff will be collaborating from 8:00 - 9:00 am, with school starting at 9:30 am.
Finch Express Program
Finch Express is a before and after school child care program. A half day kindergarten program is available for working parents who need child care during non-school hours. We offer support activities such as arts and crafts, homework time, gym time, games, and outdoor recreation.
Operational hours are 6:30 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for before and after students. There are two sessions for kindergarten students from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Admission is contingent on space availability and granted only after enrollment and emergency information have been completed and deposit has been paid. Fees are calculated on a weekly basis in advance of service.
Spring kindergarten registration is a great time to enroll your child for the fall.
