Welcome to an exciting year at Bemiss Elementary School! This year is going to be a great year for our community of learners. The staff at Bemiss is very dedicated and committed to prepare our students to be successful, life-long learners. We know that your experience here will be both positive and rewarding.

Our number one priority is to develop a quality educational experience for all of our students. We have high expectations for all kids at Bemiss and our students are recognized around the state as very smart and capable. Bemiss has been recognized as a Distinguished Title I School at both the state and national levels. The Bemiss staff is made up of very highly qualified educators and your students will benefit greatly from their expertise.

In order for our students to be successful learners, the Bemiss staff has high expectations for student behavior. It is important that the learning environment is free of disruption. When students enter the building, learning begins. We expect our students to be good citizens and respect the learning of other students. We are a school of character where we teach and reward the six pillars of CHARACTER COUNTS! Students learn that respect, caring, trustworthiness, fairness, responsibility and citizenship are important traits. Our goal is to make Bemiss a safe, nurturing environment for all students.
