Kid Talk: Preparing for the WASL:


        
        We interviewed students from the fifth grade classes and asked them how they prepared for the WASL.


Orzala
replied, "Over the weekends my sister and I asked each other WASL-type questions to prepare.”

Laurin stated, “I read my math, reading, and social studies books to get ready.”

Zackary told us, “I study everyday for an hour and a half.”

Serina answered, “I practice. My mom and dad ask me questions.”

Sean stated, “I go over math facts and practice writing stories!”

Chantell told us, “I just do my homework.”

Nathen revealed, “I go through my notebooks according to what I’m being tested on.”

Gloria replied, “I eat a good breakfast and study until my brain hurts.”

Amber stated, “I go to bed early and eat healthy food.”

Kyle told us, “My dad makes me do my homework or else I’ll get grounded. So, I do my homework.”

Nick answered, “I study. Sometimes I take my math book home and go through it.”
